Installing the xStandard editor for Aurora

Aurora uses a plug-in browser add on to provide a powerful content editing capabilities. You will need to download and install the plug-in for your system before using Aurora. This is only required for content authoring and has is not a requirement for users wishing to view your website or content.

Install

Download the installation program (x-lite.dmg or x-pro.dmg) and double click on it to begin installing XStandard. OS X will mount a drive called "XStandard Lite" or "XStandard Pro" and open it as shown in the screen shot below.

 



A folder containing Install XStandard Pro.pkg and README.txt.

Double click on "Install XStandard Lite.pkg" or Install XStandard Pro.pkg" and an install wizard will guide you through the install process. After the install, you can unmount the drive by dragging it to the Trash bin.

To test-drive XStandard, go to /Applications/XStandard/test-drive.htm
Uninstall

To uninstall XStandard, delete the following:

    * /Applications/XStandard
    * /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/XStandard.plugin
